A Met Office forecaster said: ‘Heading into September, the last week in August and into September is likely to be dominated by high pressure resulting in fine and settled weather across the UK.
‘This will bring variable amounts of cloud, sunny spells, a few light showers and mainly light winds but some fog patches overnight, which clear during early morning.’
Liverpool forecast
Friday, 27 August
Sunny intervals that will change to overcast by lunchtime. There will be highs of 18 C from around 13.00 to 18.00 with a 10% chance of rain.
Saturday, 28 August
It is set to be nice and sunny! With highs of 19 C around 16.00 and a 5% chance of rain.
Sunday , 29 August

Hide AdAnother day of long sunny spells with a few cloud patches from around 13.00. Highs of around 20 C with a 5% chance of rain.
Monday, 30 August
Will have highs of 19 C at tea time with sunny intervals changing to partly cloudy by lunchtime.
Tuesday, 31 August
Much like Friday, there will be sunny intervals until lunchtime when it will cloud over. It will reach a high of 19 C at around 16.00, with a less than 5% chance of rain.
