Vitaliy Mykolenko Everton injury update and Andre Gomes latest ahead of Tottenham
Frank Lampard has explained why Vitaliy Mykolenko came off during Everton’s 2-0 FA Cup defeat of Boreham Wood.
The left-back was handed the captain’s armband for the game amid his homeland of Ukraine being invaded by Russia.

Hide AdBut Mykolenko was withdrawn in the 59th minute and replaced by Seamus Coleman.
Lampard revealed that the defender suffered a dead leg and hopes it’s not too serious.
The Everton boss said: “It’s a dead leg so not too bad. I don’t think so [he’ll be sidelined], it’s a dead leg.”
Meanwhile, Andre Gomes was not in the squad for a second successive game.

Hide AdLampard revealed that the Portuguese has a thigh issue but should be back in training over the next few days.
“He picked up a thigh injury, which he has been carrying a bit,” said Lampard.
“He’ll be training over the next couple of days.”
