Fire at St Helens bakery

Staff at a local bakery opened up to find their kitchen clogged with smoke.
An electrical fault in Ray's Bakery had caused the small fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning (October 1).

They left the premises, on High Street in Prescot, and contacted the fire services.

Crews arrived and isolated the electricity supply. There was slight damage to the store.
