Police hunt sex fiend

Detectives in St Helens have launched an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in Blackbrook.
The 43-year-old victim was attacked after a man approached her asking for directions near to the Ship Inn.

When she told the man she did not know, he followed her before indecently assaulting her near to the Blackbrook Supper Bar.

He is described as white, aged between 35 and 40, about 5ft 4in tall, of stocky build, and with short hair and clean shaven.

He was wearing a flat cap, titled to one side and spoke with a St Helens accent.

The incident took place on Monday, November 17 at around 10.15pm but police have only just come forward with an appeal for witnesses.
