Ex-Saints skipper Paul Sculthorpe is backing St Helens to defeat Leeds in this weekend's engage Super League Grand Final.
Leeds defeated Saints 33-6 in last year's showdown after the Knowsley Road side finished top of the table.

But Sculthorpe - who has just retired from rugby league because of injury - said: ''It seemed in 2007 like we didn't have enough left in the tank when it came to Old Trafford.

''This time I get the feeling the boys are feeling much fresher and sharper going into the big game.

''There will be the usual talk about whether it's better to have the week off before the Grand Final, as we have, or to have another game to keep things ticking over like the Rhinos.''
